Tribology and Heat Treatment Department

The Department focuses on tests of tribological properties of materials (abrasion, adhesion, erosion) and the heat treatment technology of structural and tool steels.

Departmental activity:

steel heat treatment technology of tool and high-speed steels
steel selection optimization for specific tools and structural parts
resistance assessment of materials and coats, including surface finishes against adhesive, abrasive, and erosive wear
friction coefficient measuring
